Degenesis: Clan Wars

Degenesis: Clan Wars is an asymmetric, 2-5 player skirmish game set in the world of Degenesis. You can play either the Hostile, attempting to take down the Protectorate, or the Operatives defending it. While the rules have been battle-tested, full production of the game is still in progress. It's a partnership between SMV and CMON, with CMON handling production and distribution.

Clan Wars was funded through a GameFound campaign. The first products were expected to roll out in the second half of 2025, but given CMON’s financial challenges, the status of the project is unclear.

Updates

• Yesterday CMON announced it has ceased work on the Degenesis Clan Wars project and said it will issue refunds to backers. CMON issued a statement and SMV issued a statement, but without visibility into the contract and the actions of both parties, carefully-crafted PR statements don’t really shed any light as to exactly what happened. I won’t speculate here. The future of the minis, the game, and artbooks is not clear at this time. (2025-07-04)
