Cultures

There are seven Cultures in Degenesis, each with its own geography, history, and norms. Each also contains a unique mix of conflict from within and without.

Africa

  • African Dinars (JPG) – Add some flavor to your table with this printable currency.
  • Campaign Seeds: Africa – Though you’d have to prep most of it on your own, you could run an entire campaign in Africa. Here are three seeds for inspiration: Combing the Ruins, Asssessing the Threat, and Stealing from Thieves.
  • Neolybian Dialect Font (OTF) – This font is based on ancient Arabic and Tuareg, and has no accented characters.

Balkhan

  • Campaign Seeds: Balkhan – If you’re thinking of a Balkhan-based campaign, take a look at these three seeds for inspiration: Extractors, Merchants of Death, and Tunnel Rats.
  • Pannonia in Flames (Free at DriveThruRPG) – This 50+ page fan supplement from Andreas Holzner details the Northern Balkhan region, with plenty of additional goodies. Also provided in German.
  • The Flood (PDF) – After two days of unending rain, the Adriatic valley has turned into a swamp. For the Bisanti clan this is an omen. Two strands of destiny intertwine. Ravenna will be the stage for terrible events. The Voivode has made his move. The fate of the story is in the hands of travelling Cultists. After the flood, nothing will be the same.

Borca

Franka

Hybrispania

  • Campaign Seeds: Hybrispania – While official material for Hybrispania is sparse, this Culture is fertile ground for a campaign. Here are three ideas to mine: Black Marketeers, Contras, and Investigors.
  • Cartagena (PDF) – Steffen Brand, the maestro behind so many marvelous Degenesis maps, has produced an excellent fan supplement.

Pollen

  • Campaign Seeds: Pollen – Garganti, Biokinetics, oh my! Here are three ideas for cicking off a Pollen-based campaign: Fear, Avarice, and Vengeance.
  • Cultures of Degenesis: Pollen – Gunsmile outlines the land of Pollen in this short video.
  • Nikopol (PDF) – This beautiful 74-page handbook contains a description of the city of Nikopol and its local clan, with NPCs and plot hooks.
