We may be submerged in ash but we still live.

Degenesis is produced in Berlin, and the core fanbase is European. That’s a great thing – it’s one of the aspects of Degenesis I most enjoy. It also means that if you live in the Americas, finding other fans for online games can be difficult. Further, it means that shipping costs can sometimes be a challenge.

With that in mind, a small crew of devoted fans from the Americas (myself included) have started Relay Station West. Here’s the official intro, written by Degenesis fan luminary Gunsmile.

RSW is a community-run initiative intended for both Game Masters and players in North, Central, and South America. It serves three purposes:

  1. GMs and players in the Americas can find groups and coordinate games (one-shots and campaigns) within their respective time zones.

  2. Volunteer GMs will run scheduled one-shots on a regular basis to introduce new Degenesis players in the Americas to the game, very similar to how gaming conventions work. NOTE: This project is still in-progress and we would like to gauge interest based on how successful #1 is.

  3. Degenesis fans in the Americas can coordinate group purchases with other fans local to them in order to address the high shipping costs of Degenesis products.

Currently, we are in a trial run of this initiative to see how many people are actually interested and willing to keep it going into the next phase.
